The Aim of Education

Building on the underlying goals of both the College of Engineering and the Ewha Womans University, the goal of education in the DESE is to cultivate talented professional women for the 21st century when human beings, nature, and technology co-exist.

The specific goals are :

• to equip women of talent with creative and practical skills by educating them in the basic sciences and in-major subjects.
• to nurture women experts that have the necessary practical skills required in the industry by educating them in environmental science and engineering.
• to cultivate professional women scientists/engineers with logical reasoning and effective communication skills.
• to educate specialists with both social and moral conscience.
• to nurture environmental scientists/engineers with the international awareness.
