We have opened and operated a total of 48 courses, and we are operating the nation's highest demand-oriented industry-university cooperation curriculum and customized curriculum for each level with the goal of nurturing global female SW leaders.

Major Education Projects

The government and many major companies are supporting Ewha Computer Science and Engineering department.

Our department was selected for National Program of Excellence in Software by Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) (11 billion won for 6 years) and also for 'Seoul Accord' program supported by the Ministry of Knowledge and Economy (4 billion won in 7 years). Our department was also sponsored by Samsung S/W Talent Program (1.5 billion won in 2014~2018).




International Exchange Programs

 Since 2012, 16~17 undergraduate students of our department sponsored by Overseas Exchange Program visit EPITA(Graduate School of Computer science and Advanced Technologies) in Paris, France, and take summer programs. Many undergraduate students are visiting world major universities.




Excellence of the department

Job placement rate
  • Most students are getting jobs before they graduate. They usually get employed in major companies such as Hyundai, Samsung, LG, etc.


Samsung S/W Talent Program
  • Students hoping to work for Samsung Electronics S/W area can get scholarship from Samsung for third and forth grade, and get employed after graduation


Various department scholarships are provided
Hightech equipments and laboratories are prepared

Q&A

Do I need to learn programming before I enter computer engineering?
  • You don't have to learn programming languages in advance. In our curriculum, we teach basic and advanced computer programming through C language for two semesters in the first year, and Object-oriented programming and Java programming in the second year. Students can get the high programming skills and advanced knowledge of programming languages.
