Privacy Consent

The Ewha Womans University Language Center collects and uses only the minimum personal information necessary to operate its Korean and foreign language education programs. This notice transparently discloses the contents of the Personal Information Consent Form and the Student Pledge, which students will submit online when registering, and makes them available for review.

Consent to the Collection and Use of Unique Identifiable Information

    Support for issuing the certificate of admission required for obtaining the student’s residency status (Legal basis: Immigration Control Act, Article 10).

  • Consent is voluntary, but refusal may result in denial of admission and stay in Korea.

Consent to the Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

Consent to Use Personal Information for Promotional Purposes

    Uploading language institute materials, graduation ceremonies, and opening ceremony content on the language institute website, YouTube, and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Weibo).
  • Items Collected
    Photos, Videos
  • Retention and Use Period
    Stored and used during the period the content is posted on official online channels. (however, deletion or correction will be made upon request of withdrawal of consent by the data subject)
  • Consent is voluntary; if you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please inform the photographer at the time of filming.

Letter of Student Oath

  • It is strictly forbidden to record online videos and audios of Korean content presented in lectures by Ewha Language Center. In particular, if online classes are recorded and exposed to any public domain or used commercially, students may be penalized accordingly.
  • Please do not misbehave or disturb your teachers and classmates. Registration of current semester may be cancelled or re-registration for the next semester may not be allowed if students show inappropriate behavior.
    • Interrupting with disturbing language or irrelevant content in class.
    • Inflicting verbal abuse or physical violence towards teachers or students.
    • In case of an argument between students causing an inconvenience or anxiety to other students in class.
    • Interrupting other students by being very insincere in class.
    • In the case of continuous refusal to comply with the ELC's guidelines for in-person classes to prevent COVID-19, etc
  • If you submit any kind of forged documents for any reason, you will be canceled your class enrollment of this semester and reject enrollment for other semesters.
