Target Students

- As it takes time to screen the documents and issue a certificate of admission, please submit the most recent version.

Online course registration is available starting six months prior to the registration deadline.

- The registration deadline for applicants with Chinese nationality is two months earlier than the general deadline, since the application for Visa issuance needs to be confirmed through the university.
- In case of Thailand, the certificate needs to get both the verification from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Thailand and the verification stamp on the document from the Thai Embassy in Korea or the Korean Embassy in Thailand.
- Students of some nationalities must have deposits on their bank balance letter (above 10,000,000 KRW when applying for more than 2 semesters) deposited for more than 3 months.
- All of the students in the Intensive program are subscribed to the international insurance.
- Check on the website of the Foreign Ministry(https://www.0404.go.kr/consulate/visa.jsp) for the visa agreement of your country.

The submitted documents will not be returned.

- Documents written in languages other than Korean or English must be translated into either English or Korean and notarized.
If more than one year has passed since the applicant’s latest graduation, additional documents that prove the applicant’s activities during the gap period must be submitted.
Document screening takes approximately two weeks.
Submitting the required documents does not guarantee the issuance of a Certificate of Admission.

- Admission may not be granted depending on the result of the screening.
ELC administration office does not reveal the reasons for rejection.

Document screening → Individual notification of result → Tuition payment → Emailing the certificate of admission and receipts of tuition payment → Apply for a Visa at the local Korean Embassy → Placement test(online) → Arrival in Korea → Begin the semester

For Russia, 9 to 11 are not needed.
Registration process for new students
- After on-line registration(http://atom.ewha.ac.kr), submit the required documents by e-mail(kfl2@ewha.ac.kr)
- - Students from non visa exempt countires must register for at least two semesters at once
- - For original documents, it is mandatory to send them by post(or International mail).
- - In case of online submission, the documents must be scanned and submitted. If deemed necessary, the original copies may be requested.
- Document screening
- Announcement of the result of document screening & notification of the tuition fee
- After paying the tuition fee(application fee, course tuition), submit the receipt of remittance
- Issue the certificate of admission and mail the document to applicants (Only for Visa applicants)
- Inform on Placement Test (Written and speaking tests)

Registration process for current students
- Online registration (http://atom.ewha.ac.kr), submit the required documents by e-mail(kfl2@ewha.ac.kr)
- Submit a copy of passport and Alien Registration Card(front & back) to the ELC office either in person or by e-mail(kfl2@ewha.ac.kr)
- Make the tuition payment and submit the bank receipt to the ELC office
- Apply for the certificate of enrollment and attendance for D-4 Visa extension (Only for current D-4 Visa holders)

- Application fee: 80,000 KRW, Program tuition fee: 1,740,000 KRW(Until Summer semester of 2025)
- Application fee: 100,000 KRW, Program tuition fee: 1,800,000 KRW(From Fall semester of 2025)
Current students (Re-enrollment for the next semester while taking the current semester)
- Application fee: None (If you’ve not taken more than two semesters, you must pay the application fee and take the placement test again.)
- Program tuition fee: 1,740,000 KRW(Until Summer semester of 2025)
- Program tuition fee: 1,800,000 KRW(From Fall semester of 2025)
Textbook cost [53,000KRW ~ 60,000KRW / per semester] is not included.

After remitting the money, write the name of the student on the remittance confirmation form and send it by fax or mail to Ewha Language Center; or e-mail the Language Center upon payment.

Course cancellation and tuition fee refund
- In case of refund, amount of refundable tuition fee will be calculated depending on the date of request.
- The date of request is determined by the number of passed course days. The date of request is also regarded as a passed course day.

- A day of class is equivalent to 4 hours. If you had 8 hours of class in a day, (for Culture Class, for example), it is counted as 2 days of regular class.
- In case of overseas transactions, student who cancel the registration should cover the transaction fee if happens.
- Students who were issued a C-3 or D-4 Visa with the certificate of admission to ELC can cancel the registration only when requested documents are submitted.
- For detailed information, please contact ELC office in advance, before cancellation.
Cancelling classes after the semester begins, the scholarship benefits you have received will be cancelled.
VISA
- Students qualify to apply for a General Language Training [D-4] Visa when registered for at least 2 semesters of Intensive Program.
Certificate of Admission is issued for students’ Visa application.
