Lab Head
Han Su Kim, MD, PH
Prof. Dr. Han Su Kim isa professor and Dean of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head& Neck Surgery at the College of Medicine at Ewha Womans University.
Since 2004, he has been working at Ewha Womans University Mokdong Hospital, serving as the director of the Head & Neck Cancer Center since 2015, with clinical expertise focused on head and neck oncology and laryngology. His primary research focuses on tissue engineering & regenerative medicine, specifically in tracheal regeneration and tonsil-derived mesenchymal stem cells. He has conducted numerous research projects supported by the National Research Foundation of Korea as a principal investigator. He also serves as the director of the Institute of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine at Ewha Womans University. Currently, his laboratory is focusing on characterizing tonsil-derived mesenchymal stem cells, particularly exploring donor-dependent variations. He also has continuously contributed as committee member for several prestigious organizations, including the Korean Society of Otorhinolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery, the Korean Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine Society, the Korean Society for Head & Neck Oncology, the Korean Society of Laryngology, Phoniatrics and Logopedics, the Korean Bronchoesophagological Society, and the Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society.
