Established in 2015, Hokma Liberal University is an institution specializing in future-oriented education of liberal arts studies and offering opportunities in various contents and methods to foster creative individuals with converging skills in the global context, outstanding professionals meeting the demands of society, and excellent communicators leading harmonious communities.
The name “Hokma” is Hebrew, which means “wisdom,” “sagacity,” “intelligence,” and “intellect.” It is not limited to theoretical knowledge but goes beyond practical wisdom by embracing the aspirations of the Ewha liberal arts education.
During enrollment, students at Ewha Women’s University can take subjects of liberal art studies in five fields as mandatory or elective courses while developing core competence.
Students are not directly enrolled in Hokma Liberal University but within its educational system of the liberal arts university; through various subjects and programs, they can explore knowledge and competence associated with their major(s).
