Visiting students are students who pay the application, tuition and all other fees directly to the Ewha International Summer College. While recommended to seek prior approval from their home institution, especially if planning to transfer credits back, visiting students may participate in the EISC programs on an individual basis. Unless requested otherwise, official transcripts, upon successful completion of the program, will be sent to the student directly.
Exchange students are those whose home institutions have an exchange agreement with Ewha and have made arrangements with the EISC. The application and tuition fees are waived for exchange students, while all other fees are paid to the EISC. Students must be officially "nominated" by their home institution coordinator to join as an exchange student; the nomination must be approved before the student's application is reviewed. Official transcripts for exchange students are sent to their home institution.
For Session 1, the field trips and activities are entirely optional. Students may sign up for and participate in only the field trips and activities they wish to join. However, there may be penalties in cases of no show without prior notice.
For Session 2, while the 1 night 2 day trip is optional, students are required to join at least some activities. More information will be provided during the student orientation on the first day.
There is a shared kitchen that students can use on Floor B1 of the I-House Building C (next to the cafe).
In addition, on Floor B1 & 10 in I-House Building D and every floor of Graduate Student Dorm A, B, and I-House Building C, it is equipped with a microwave, toaster, electric kettle, water purifier, and rice cooker. Any other items that may cause fire are not permitted and thus cannot be brought in.
