United Board (UB) 에서 주관하는 IASACT 2025 (Institute for Advanced Study in Asian Cultures and Theologies) 참가자 모집 소식을 전해드립니다.

교수님들의 많은 관심과 참여 부탁 드립니다.

We are pleased to announce the Institute for Advanced Study in Asian Cultures and Theologies (IASACT) 2025. IASACT 2025 will be conducted from 20 June to 19 July 2025, aiming to support scholars by creating a community where they can work with a mentor on their research and exchange views with other scholars through a four-week residential program in Hong Kong.

The theme of IASACT 2025 is Framing Foodscapes in Asia: Patterns, Problems and Prospects. IASACT 2025 invites scholars to critically explore the topic of foodscapes in Asia – meaning the spaces, linkages, and activities, with their attendant patterns, problems and prospects – from the production to the consumption of food in Asian contexts. Please refer to the flyer or visit the website for details.

Approximately 12-16 scholars from Asian institutions will be selected. Scholars will need to travel to Hong Kong and may be invited to attend some sessions online. Accommodation will be provided, while meal allowances and a stipend of US$1,000-1,500 will cover basic costs related to research and writing, as well as meals on weekends. Airfare subsidies will be offered on a scholarship basis. Scholars are encouraged to cover the costs of their air tickets and related travel expenses. A limited number of transportation subsidies are available upon request.

The deadline for applications is February 28, 2025. Please visit HERE for the online application. You are encouraged to read the instructions for the online form in advance and prepare the required documents. Please note that ONLY online applications are accepted.
